Information Security provides the State of Texas required annual security awareness training for faculty, staff, and contractors of UNT, UNT Dallas, and the UNT System. Security Awareness online training covers the basics of information security, current trends, best practices, and important policies regarding computing usage throughout the UNT System.

Information Owners Training
Information owners are typically department heads with operational or executive authority over specified information or information resources. The information owner’s role is to convey that security is everyone’s job and to ensure security strategies are in place at all times.
